Activities/Committees/Services

All the committees and activities listed below welcome new people at all times. The Club benefits and the individual Club member benefits. If you have a special skill related to a particular committee’s activity, offer your services. Call 215.233.2668.


Committee Function
Kehillah Meets with members of six other Secular Jewish organizations in the Greater Philadelphia area -- Jewish Children’s Folkshul, Jewish Children's Folkshul Adult Community, the Philadelphia Secular Jewish Organization, Workmen’s Circle, Shir Shalom and Secular Jews of South Jersey -- to plan joint activities such as the Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur observances and Passover seder.
Peace &
Social Action
Meets monthly to review vital social and political developments, and to recommend a course of action concerning these issues to the Executive Board and the membership.
Yiddish Reading Meets every four or five weeks to read Yiddish literature. Welcomes those who feel confident to read aloud as well as those who like merely to listen.
Bereavement This committee will provide information and advice to those requesting it in times of crisis.
