The Mt. Airy Business Association supports its diverse business community through networking, education and promotion.

Welcome
to the Mt. Airy Business Association (MABA) web site,
which we hope will be a benefit to our members, an incentive for other businesses
to join, and a resource for our community, so that our fellow neighbors
realize the many benefits of shopping and patronizing Mt. Airy, located
in the scenic Northwest section of Philadelphia.
The banner joining the MABA logo and the Mt.
Airy Phila. graphic, designed a number of years ago by MABA member
Jerry Sellers, is a perfect linking that defines the uniqueness of MABA
as a business association.
MABA is directly involved in the life and happenings of the community because not only do many of the members work in Mt. Airy, but we live here as well, so what effects us as businesspeople effects us as residents as well. Many MABA members serve on the boards, or are active in the community organizations, West Mt. Airy Neighbors and East Mt. Airy Neighbors, Mt. Airy Schools Committee and the community development organization, Mt. AiryUSA. Most of these organizations are members of MABA. MABA played an active role with the Schools Committee and Mt. Airy Learning Tree to develop the Mt. Airy Community Computer Center. When new businesses want to come into the community, MABA is not a rubber stamp, but views the pros and cons of the proposal as it relates to the residents and business community. Four new restaurants have recently opened with MABAs support, contributing to a restaurant renaissance along Germantown Avenue. MABAs membership is not limited to storefronts along the main thoroughfare of Germantown Avenue, but includes businesses east and west of the Avenue, small office/home offices (SOHO), cultural centers, schools, churches, community organizations, and museums. While members primarily live in Mt. Airy, MABA has attracted businesses from the neighboring communities of Germantown and Chestnut Hill and the suburbs.
To local businesses, we invite you to join us. To our neighbors, we welcome your business and look forward to serving you. Mt. Airy Business Association The home page now has a slightly different look. Recently Mt. Airy USA placed new banners along Germantown Avenue reflecting the diversity and uniqueness of the community through pictures. This and the positive direction of the community is reflected in the slogan, Mt. Airy in Motion: One Village, Many Voices. Residents submitted photographs and a red and green banner were created. The designer was Rose Jones Fluid Designs, and printer, Swirling Silks. The above photographs were taken by Michael Kleiner. Visitors since October 10, 2001 © Copyright, Mt.
